A Guardian Home is the same as a dog Host Home. The puppy/dog is cared for and loved by the Guardian/Host Home under a co-ownership contract with the breeder until the end of the breeding career of the pup (generally when the pup is 3-4 years for females and 6 years old for males), and then becomes the Guardian Home's dog forever after. A guardian puppy/dog is placed with a local family for a minimal fee to show a commitment by the Guardian/Host Home. The benefits to the Guardian/Host family is that they receive a top-quality puppy/dog at a reduced cost. All genetic health testing is provided by the breeder.
